Jones Professor of History and Jewish Chaplain, an expert on modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies, Weiner has published a number of articles or reviews in all of these fields. Published a series of 36 lectures on The Long 19th Century (Europe:1789-1917)”, also formatted in three volumes of transcripts, Weiner coauthored a volume with Richard Sharpless entitled, An Uncertain Future:Voices of a French Jewish Community, 1940-2012 (Univ. of Toronto Press, 2012); the first of two intended supplemental digital volumes on the Jewish community of Dijon is already on line and the second should appear during the course of 2015.
