Author of Israel’s Palestinians: The Conflict Within (2011), The Legacy of George W. Bush’s Foreign Policy (2009) and Democratizing the Hegemonic State (2007), as well as several other books. Recipient of Marquis Distinguished Teaching Award, Jones Award for teaching and research, and Van Artsdalen Prize for scholarship. Co-editor of Negotiating Culture and Human Rights and Founding Editor of Israel Studies Forum. Adjunct scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC. Has led numerous student tours of Israel and other Middle Eastern countries (Egypt, Jordan).
